Polaris closes US$217 million solar deal with CFE in Mexico
Polaris Infrastructure signed a US$217 million agreement with Mexico's Comisión Federal de Electricidad for the development of solar projects. The contract represents one of the largest photovoltaic solar investments in the country since the resumption of renewable-oriented energy policy, and comes amid a reconfiguration of Mexico's electricity sector, which seeks to expand the share of clean sources in the grid without relinquishing state control over generation and transmission.
